3 Days From Fes to Marrakech through Merzouga desert
Day 1: Fes – IFRANE – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga
In the morning, depart from the hotel in Fès via Midelt and Ziz Valley to Merzouga. Ifrane, passing through the town of Midelt and the Zizi Valley. On the way, you will be able to see the Central Atlas Mountains. Make a stop at the famous cedar forest where you will be able to see Berber monkeys.
After lunch in Middelt, continue your journey through the beautiful Ziz Valley. Then we will travel through Berber villages to Erfoud.
At the end of the day, we will arrive in Merzouga, where you will be and then transferred by camel to a desert camp, where welcomed with mint tea and you can enjoy the sunset over the dunes. You will rest in a nomad tent.
DAY 2 : MERZOUGA – TODRA GORGES – DADES VALLEY
After a fantastic sunrise over the dunes, and breakfast at the camp, we will head to the highest canyons in Morocco: the Rissani, Tingir, and Todra canyons. Here you will have the opportunity to take a pleasant walk in the canyon. You will also meet the locals and learn about their culture and geography.
Afterward, you will drive to the valley of the Dades. There you can admire the spectacular sand castles and the incredible rock formations called “Monkey Fingers”.
DAY 3 : DADES VALLEY – KASBAH AIT BEN HADDOU – MARRAKECH:
After a Berber breakfast at the hotel, our journey will start from the Dades Valley to Ouarzazate and then on to Marrakech.
Before this, we will make a stop in Kalaat Mougouna, where we will have the opportunity to visit a rose cooperative, where they will be shown the distillation technics used to obtain rose products. Later, we will visit Soukoura, an oasis of a palm grove.
Later, we’ll make a stop at a film studio in Ouarzazate. Before we head on to Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah to discover this medieval building. After lunch, we continue our trip through the High Atlas Mountains and then transfer to your hotel in Marrakech.
