4 Days tour from Fes to Merzouga Sahara desert
DAY 1: FES – IFRANE – MIDLET – ZIZ VALLEY – MERZOUGA
Transfer from your hotel in Fez to Merzouga via Midelt, Arfoud. We will drive through Ifrane, and visit the village of Midelt and the valley of Ziz. Along the way, you will explore the cedar forest and have the opportunity to see Berber monkeys.
After lunch in Midelt, you will continue traveling through the beautiful Ziz Valley. You will drive through Berber villages and reach El Houda and Rissani, the origins of the Arab dynasty.
At the end of the day, you will arrive in Merzouga and enjoy a mint tea. Overnight at a hotel near the dunes. Dinner and breakfast
DAY 2: EXPLORE MERZOUGA SAND DUNES
After breakfast at your riad, we’ll start the day by visiting the Gnawa settlement of Khamlia, where you can enjoy the Gnawa dance and music.
We will then head to the Black Desert where we will meet a nomadic family who will share a cup of tea with us. For lunch, we will enjoy a traditional meal (Berber pizza) with a local family. Also, we will have the opportunity to visit the ancient city of Risani.
We will then drive back to Merzouga. In the afternoon, you will take a camel ride to explore the area surrounded by the highest sand dunes in Morocco and enjoy the sunset over the dunes. Dinner will be served around a campfire and you will sleep in a traveler’s tent.
DAY 3: MERZOUGA – RISSANI – ALNIF – TODRA GORGES
After a good breakfast and shower, we will drive toward Todra Gorges, And we pass by Tafilalt capital (Rissani) visiting Molay Ali Chrif Mausoleum, Then we continue to Alnif where we will have time for lunch. In the afternoon we carry on to Tinghir to visit the Jewish quarter, Then drive to Todra Gorges, Where we will spend a night in a homestay with dinner.
DAY 4: TODRA GORGES – IMILCHIL – KHNIFRA – FES
After a healthy breakfast, we will drive toward Fes, crossing the camouflage Berber villages, and passing by Imilchil which is known for its collective annual wedding festival.
Then Continue our journey to Khnifra in the middle of Atlas, where we will have lunch, Later in the afternoon we will be heading straight to Fes with short stops along the way to enjoy the views. Arriving at Fes in the late afternoon.
