5 Days Tour from Casablanca to Fes

Day 1: Arrival in Casablanca

Upon arrival in Casablanca, the economic capital of Morocco, you will be met by your driver/guide. Depending on your arrival time, your tour of Casablanca, the “White City”, will begin with a visit to the wide boulevards.

Stroll through the narrow streets of Medina, United Nations Square, and Mohammed V Square, the residential neighborhood of Anfa, Corniche Boulevard with its swimming pools and restaurants, and the Hassan II Mosque. The Hassan II Mosque is the seventh largest mosque in the world, a beautiful artistic landmark, and one of the few mosques open to non-Muslims. After dinner, check-in at your hotel.

Day 2: Casablanca – Rabat – Fes

After breakfast, we leave early in the morning for Fes. In Rabat, the capital of Morocco, we stop to see the politics of the city overlooking the sea and visit the red ocher walls built during the reign of Sultan Jacob el-Mansour, which give the city its special character for more than 5 km. Afterward, walk through the medina and the souq. This area is more authentic than the rest of the city, as the stores cater to local customers.

Udaya Muhammad Mausoleum Kasbah 5:

We then visit the Udaya Mausoleum in the Kasbah, built in the 12th century by a predatory tribe. The four outer walls are decorated differently, three of them are pink and one is gray, which is due to the sea breeze. The remains of the old mosque and the five mausoleums next to the towers are masterpieces of traditional Moroccan architecture, rich in precious metals and ornamental decorations from around the world. We then return to the new town to visit the Royal Palace of the Merinid dynasty. Overnight stay in Fes.

Day 3: Fes

After breakfast, start a guided tour of Medina, one of the largest fortified cities in the world, exploring the narrow streets filled with fresh fruit, mountains of spices, intricate Berber carpets, and many other Moroccan handicrafts.

Sand Medersas Mosque.

Next, visit the oldest university in the world, founded by Fatima El Fihri in 859, and the Andalusian Mosque, which dates back to 860. Non-Muslims are not allowed to enter, and you can also admire fountains such as the Nezarin Fountain, built in the early 13th century, and the Medersa (Madrasa). Visit the Bata Palace, now a museum of arts and traditions; the Chowara tannery; the Atalin Souk, the liveliest in the city; Bab Bouzrou, with its green and blue pottery; the Mela; the Ibn Danan Synagogue, built in the 17th century; and the Royal Palace. In the afternoon, visit the northern or southern part of Borj, see the old medina from above, and watch the sunset. Overnight.

Day 4: Fes – Meknes – Casablanca

After breakfast, we will depart early for Casablanca, passing by Moulay Doris, the mausoleum of Moulay Idriss, founder of Fes, one of the most sacred cities in Morocco. We will then visit the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, where we will wander through the 2000-year-old ruins and experience life during the Roman Empire. Upon arrival in Meknes, a breathtaking view of the Medina awaits. First, we will visit the city walls with the 17th-century gates of Verdine Bab and Bab Khemis. Then we will visit the stables (Rua), the attic (HERI), and the stables. The Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail has long been the only mosque in Morocco that non-Muslims could visit.

Moroccan Museum of Art in Meknes:

We will then head from the famous Bab Mansour El Square to the Grand Place Hedim. On the other side of the square is the Dar Jamai, a museum of Moroccan art with a variety of handicrafts on display. Overnight at hotel.
